& Its amazing how God sends human angels along in your life.
Not long ago, last week, I was shopping with my mummy and daddy, and we decided to take a cab home. The cab that we'd flagged was driven by this middle aged, uncle, he had a huge wooden cross hung at his rearview mirror. Out of habit, I started up a conversation, and the uncle surprised me. I asked him which church did he go to, some methodist church, and i told him I was from FCBC.

Then assured me of my faith, he launched into the conversation, talking about putting on the full armour of God. He further specified that this was a time of darkness, that the world was ruled by satan, and we have to protect ourselves against him. Feeling more excited, the more I encouraged his talk with my comments, he shared with me that there are 3 things that we must fight against,
1)the world.
2)the desires of our flesh.
3)satan.

In addition, I asked him about his wife and children, there was an uncomfortable silence, but he told me that his wife left him, because apparently she loved what's of the world more, he said he had one child, but he didn't mention much about it, and I deduced that his child left along with his wife. I really admired his courage, of how much he trusted God, that he placed utter faith in him, even when his family left him, he still held strong to his faith in Christ.

Futhermore, he mentioned that in life we encounter storms however God wants to test and see that in these times of trouble, will he just be forgotten or would we hold on, and live by faith and not by sight.

I felt that what he said was really meaningful, and he even encouraged me to spread the word of Christ, with his army stories, where his sergeant would stay back late, carrying his bible around, and sharing the word to his army mates, which thus was the reason why he converted. I believe that I've learnt much from this encounter with this taxi driver uncle.

These points are so applicable and true in our life right now at this point of time, lets not give up, but instead protect our heart and soul from the world, and press on to continue to be warriors for God! (:

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:26

Love,
Elizabeth.
