Psalm 51: 16-17 ' You do not delight in sacrifice or I would bring it,you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,a broken and contrite heart,O God you will not despise'

contrite= deep regret for doing something wrong.
thats what i got after checking the dictionary. When I first read the psalm the verse struck me.Firstly cause David who wrote the psalm said it confidently and sure that this is what the Lord wants, showing his great understanding of God's heart and the close relationship between him and the Lord likewise with a close one.

Candy also msged us the verse reminding us though how imperfect our condition is,God still delights in us entering into His presence.

A broken spirit,a contrite heart.
the God of the whole universe,of all wonders desire nothing but a true heart willing to draw near to Him despite the condition of it,whether tattered or torn, whether it used to be filled with anger and bitterness, whether it is filled with sins in the past, the Lord looks past all of these and says no matter what happens I will want you to be by my side. The world goes around seeking for acceptance, afraid of rejection yet the Lord says I delight in you.You meaning,no matter what shape what size what colour, you, yes you.

Matthew 9:12 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means:I desire mercy not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous but the sinners.'

so what can I say and what could I do,but offer this heart O Lord, completely to You.
