DE Blog Team

Reflection #1

I feel that the camp was a fruitful one ; I gained more knowledge from there, especially all the low and high rope elements ; each element has a meaning behind it, and its all those things that we can apply to our daily lives. Teamwork, support, trust, faith, and much more. And mostly importantly, it once again brings us all back to the word ‘family’. I’m sure that this camp has helped us all to bond together and to trust each other. How God has stopped the rain from coming really amazes me too, as (quoted from Ps Dan) every part of Sg’s raining, and only our side is not. So, praise be to God !

Reflection #2

I really thank God for the camp! :D
Firstly because the elements helped me to build my confidence of overcoming my fear of heights and also taking the faith to challenge myself to do each activity. I always have a mindset of "I can't do it". But after I tried, I never knew it would turn out to be otherwise! And I enjoyed doing all of them!

Secondly, I got to know some people better and even talked to some whom I'm never talked to before. I've always been so close to my cell group. Now, that was time to get out of my comfort zone and mix around with others. It's always good to make new friends. :)

Last but not least, I really felt the love of this family. The low rope elements were all based on group work effort. And I can see that by helping each other out, planning and doing it together really led us to completing the challenge with victory! Although the high rope elements were done individually, I felt that I wasn't doing them alone. Even the bellayers played a part! Not forgetting God, who's always reaching out His hand to me. Also, my groupmates cheering me on when I was doing the challenge. So everyone played a role in every person's success of completing the elements! :)

One more thing, if you feel that you should offer your helping hand to your sister/brother who needs help, know that God is using you. So dont hesitate and ask God why not that guy beside you. God has chosen you, so it's you!

And also thank God for everything that made the camp a successful one!

God Bless!

Love,
Chantel.
