Thank You? Thank You!

As I was searching desperately for the voice of God, he did not spoke. I thought he did not. But sometimes we really need to remind ourselves of a truth. God is not human and His ways are always higher than ours.

God reveals His word to me through flashing back of my memories and the things that are happening around me (mostly in my cell group). Take some time to reflect now. Have you been prayed over by a fellow sister or brother? When you encounter problems, is there someone who had been your listening ear? When you need something, are you able to get it by asking around? Is there someone that will accompany you for dinner after service? When you need support in some areas, do you gain any from your spiritual family?

I thank God that I have such people around me. There was once I didn’t feel comfortable going for alter call (that was when I am in hospitality attire); I know I needed ministry so I walked up to Lisa, and just ask her to pray for me after we exchanged smiles. No doubt, she was shocked and gave me a “Huh?!” but still she prayed for me after that. God used her to speak to me and I felt ministered even as I took that step forward and responded to God by asking a sister to pray for me.

I remembered times when I and some other sisters are not feeling well, they sent out sms to each other and we all prayed. When we have prayer requests, just simply ask and there will sure be people who are so willing to pray for us.

The convenience that the variety in communication tools have provided, enables us to talk to one another even when not meeting up. MSN, phone call, sms and even blogs helped in allowing us to know one another better. When we need anything we are able to just put it on our personal message on MSN, call up and ask, sms one another and even blog it down so that anyone who visited your blog is able to know not just your daily lives but also your needs and wants. I remember seeing many blogs with wish lists, maybe we can go and read some and know more about what our sisters and brothers are going through.

Shouldn’t we be appreciative for the advanced technology? But we should be more appreciative to the people, who send us songs when we asked for, told us the venue and time for the next cell group meeting, be that listening ear when we are vexed, gave us opinions when we are making a hard decision we could not decide or accompanied us home or for dinner after cell meetings or service.

I thank God even for the people He has placed around me in my life. My grandma and aunt then now my mum that brought me up, Valerie that brought me to cell group at Laurel’s house, Laurel that led me in saying the sinners’ prayer, Liang Ming that pulled me back onto God’s track when I disappeared for two years, Pastor Eve that helped me through deliverance, sisters and brothers from church who supported my chocolates, my sisters who gave me a listening ear during “my”(our) always side tracked sharing and even those around me. The list is simply too long but the heart to say thanks is much more. Thank you for all that you have done for me. Thank you for even your presence in my world. Yes, I’m talking to you. Don’t look left or right. “Points finger straight* Yes, it is YOU, the one reading this now. Thank you.

The question at the end of the day is, “Have you been appreciative of your physical/spiritual family? Or have you taken them for granted?” it is still not too late to do so. Don’t be afraid that it will be embarrassing. If you are, I will be more to announce to the world here. =p You should be more conscious when that person is no longer around, even if you want to appreciate them, it will be too late. Don’t waste your chance now and just go forth now!

If what that is on your mind now is, “I am always a loner, I do not mix around with people in the tribe and my cell, no one helps me when I am in need, I do not ask people for help, I am also afraid to ask or talk to them.” Then maybe it is time to step out of your tortoise shell and get to know your family and the people around you and enjoy the privileges or the warmth from this family. You have missed out a lot, don’t hesitate and miss more. =)

In His and my love,
Jovii =pP
