But he gives us more grace. That is why the Scripture says: " God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" [James 4:6]

God opposes the proud. it does not mean God hates them it just means He does not agree in people being proud, because in whatever the circumstances, God loves us. Being proud is too, sin but God will still love you.

Gives grace to the humble. Grace here is the love and kindness God gives to the people. So, towards the humble, God showers more love and kindness. When you are not proud,God will shine his light upon you and lift you up but when you are, He disapproves of your doing and you will be punished. But God still loves us no matter what. God shows us unconditional love and we ought to love as well as have faith in God just as He has done so to each and everyone of us. God has humbled Himself and we too should humble ourselves as well, following the footsteps of Christ our Lord.
