ONE THING
thanks be to God who allowed my brother to book Harry Potter on it's opening day (dont be jealous k?) and i managed to watch it, and as usual... if u want movie reviews or my views, visit my blog.. but here to share smth from the movie. i seriously think movie scripts have more depth suddenly.

towards the end of the movie, actually this is the last thing that Harry says...
"You know. All that fighting and all, i think we have one thing that Voldemort doesnt, we have something worth fighting for".... credits..........

we all have those little struggles and obstacles in our life, and it's these things that define our lives. and i thank God that we are met with challenges, at least we can learn to fight. but have u ever wondered, what exactly have u been fighting for all these while?

these current series of sermons are focused on running the race... let's bring you back to that verse:
"Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us"
-hebrews 12:1

we're all in a race. a race of our own. every single Christian on the face of this earth, has a difference race. a different destiny. but at the end of each race, there's a common prize.

"i have fought the good fight. i have finished the race, i have kept the faith. now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day -- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
-2 timothy 4:7-8

i think potter is right when he said that Voldemort doesnt have smth to fight for. think abt it, he's not even fighting actually. he's just trying to take revenge on this little nerdy kid who somehow managed to survive the "avada kedavra" curse that he casted 14 yrs ago. he's trying to regain his pride, that's pathetic. but... isnt the devil the same too? the only thing that the devil has tried to do, is to steal our salvation. he's not fighting, he's just being a pretty sneaky thief. but that's what draws the line between our faith and the devil. we have something to fight for.

rmb perseverance and faith are the 2 keys to ensure that u keep running. if u believe in urself and have a strong mind, who's to say that u cant do a marathon. no doubt there are obstacles in life that pulls us and creates the "i-dont-wanna-run-anymore" attitude. but i pray that tonight, ur heart will be set right for the Lord. that ur heart will be renewed as you come to meet him
face-to-face.

i leave you with this verse..
"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him"
-james 1:12

warriors, after fighting for so long, u guys aren't giving up right? you donno how bad the Devil already is, if u stand up and stand still (even if u do wobble), u'll win the fight like Rocky.
