My elder sister just gave birth not long ago, a very petite and cuddly baby girl (SHE’S SO ADORABLE OK). Thank God for the safety of both the mummy and the daughter. My mum, my second sister and I then went to the hospital to visit her, as well as my second sister’s friends.

At that moment, Campus SuperStar was on the teevee and we started commenting on their singing, AND their looks and appearance. Ah, then my second sister talked to her friends about this tuition kid one of her friends had when she was still in U.

“You see bibi girl (OK THIS REFERS TO ME) and Cheryl, what a big difference right?” said my sister. So you see, Cheryl looks like she’s knows how to dress up unlike me who always look like a kid. Ok I admit, I’m quite bad at matching colors. Lol.

At this point of time, I was reminded of this verse.
“But the LORD said to Samuel,”Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
-1 Samuel 16:7

In my heart, I know the Lord did not reject me just because of what I wear, how I look like, but because He chose to love me. Man may discriminate me because I’m ugly (or whatever) but God will never do so. We so often take time to look into the mirror and doll ourselves up for the occasion, but did we remember to ‘doll up’ our hearts as well? Did we remember God’s words or even keep Him in our hearts in everything we do? Do we also judge people by their appearances? Even I’m guilty sometimes for not seeing things through Jesus’ eyes. Lord, today, I pray that each one of us will remember You in whatever we do in any circumstances. Amen.

And, for those taking Common tests/MYEs/Prelims, believe that the Lord has a great plan for you! Jeremiah 29:11! (:

love,
kriss.
