The Link in Psalm 23 and Jeremiah 29:11-12

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and staff they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

When I entered into this focus track, the one thing that comforted me most was this verse. And one part written in the book “traveling light” went like this:

“And when God calls us into the deep valley of death, he will be with us. Dare we think that he would abandon us in the moment of death? Would a father force his child to swim the deep alone? Would the shepherd require his sheep to journey the highlands alone? Of course not. Would God require his child to journey to eternity alone? Absolutely not! He is with you!”

When I read this part of the book, the Lord’s presence came and flooded the room. I knew that He did not want me to claim this promise just for school but also for the ministry that He’s gonna give to me. I was very touched. I know He will walk through this journey with me.

This brings me to another reassurance the following QT I did. It was on

Jeremiah 29:11-12
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”

I understood, that the plans for me are to prosper me and not to harm me. Unless I see through the perspective of God then I’ll be able to see the perfect destiny I have in Him.
Hence I want to live my life base on these 3 principles:

1) Obedience to God
2) Utter dependence on Him
3) Fearing the Lord

I hope it will speak to you, may the Lord convict your heart to serve Him and may you see things through the perspective of God.

God bless you!

Love,
Lisa Cheryl
