In Acts:8, there was this incident when Simon the sorcerer saw Peter and John placing their hands on the people of Samaria as they received the Holy Spirit. Simon saw and offered them money and said "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit"

Before, I thought that God will bless me and I can be more "holy" if I do good and don't sin against His word. Unlike Simon, I did not offer any money. But like Simon, my heart was not right before God.

Love. That was what my heart lack. The lack of love for my Father. Be it believers or non-believers, everybody can do good. Yet it is not doing good that God wants. He wants a heart that love him and trust him. For only when we love and trust him, will we then have a heart that is willing to go all the way for Him.

It's not easy to go all our way for God,but God is always there for us. He is there to be our strength when we feel defeated, he is there to share our happiness when He has bless us with joy.

Let us strive to be the willing people with a willing heart for our father!

Kwai Hoong.
