Supernatural gifts of the holy spirit was one of the series of messages that pastor Khong preached quite some time back. This message, i must say, is so far one of the most powerful message that impressed deeply upon my heart. In the past I used to think that "supernatural gifts" was what one could only possess after many years of spiritual cultivation. Therefore, i never directed my attention to what the holy spirit has to offer until that very day when the message was preached. There was a growing anticipation in my heart that yearns for the spiritual gifts when i knew that they are the work of grace and not how spiritual or holy u really are. If a sinful man like Samson was able to minister to the ppl supernaturally, why can't i move in the spirit? However that day i could neither feel the anointing of the spirit nor the almighty presence of God when i was slained.. No doubt i felt disappointed but i felt that the Lord wanted to check my heart. He wanted to make sure that i had the right attitude. The attitude of serving the Lord only and not reserving any pride for myself. I may turn up becoming boastful and arrogant and that is enough to ruin me completely. Nevertheless, I know that our God is a Lord who takes our prayers seriously and He will give us what we ask for when the time is right. Gifts are situational and I believe that HE will equip us when the situation allows.
