Pleasing to GOD, or MAN?

“Am I trying to win the approval of man or of god? or am I trying to please man? “
Gal 1:10

How many times have you tried to please god in your action? And how many times, you done things just to win the approval of mankind (e.g. Your friends)? Many times, we just forgot that the one and only reason that we’re on this earth is to please god, to do what he wants us to do. We often care too much about humans and about our friends’ opinion. We try too hard to fit in, to conform to the world.

Sometimes, we’re too afraid to even tell our friends about god, why? Is it just because we’re afraid that they will outcast us? Or that they will have the oh-they-are-so-inflexible thoughts about us? Or that we’re just afraid to offend them?

Then again, aren’t you afraid to offend god, who is the king of all kings and the lord of all lords?

So brothers and sisters, I pray for peace to be upon all of you. And most importantly, the strength to stand firm in what you believe. Do not be afraid, because god will carry us through it all.

God bless you!

CHUANLIAN.
