Number One

Sometimes people get too caught up with their interests and things that they don't leave time for God. I'm sure most of us have experienced difficulties in ironing out our priorities, at least once, if not more than that. I myself have, with God, studies, family, friends and my very-time-consuming CCA.

People today have a choice of what they want to be number one in our their lives today. But for us that know, there is only one right choice: God.

"Without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Hebrews 11:6

"Do not worry saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear'...Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:31 & 33

Many times I find myself worrying about how the other things in my life will turn out if I put God as first. But the reality is that, we must first put God as first, as the number one priority in our lives. If we seek God first, everything else will fall into place the way God wants it to. And while things like friends and studies might come and go, God will never let us down.

God makes it very clear that we should live our lives for him, above anything or anyone else.

Have you put God in the Number One spot in your life?

-Sarah
