I found this devotion from a website long ago:

Writing from a prison cell, the Apostle Paul penned the following verse, "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ" (Philippians 1:27). In other words, no matter what unforeseeable distractions, frustrations, and inconveniences come your way, make sure that you respond with a Christ-like attitude. Paul later writes, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 2:5). He also urges us in Ephesians 5:1 to be "imitators of Christ as dearly beloved children." Have you ever noticed how children love to "copy" everything they see and repeat everything they hear? In a similar way, we are encouraged to model Christ's behavior and to be clear reflections of the Lord.

Jesus always maintained a perfect attitude in every situation because He prayed about everything and worried about nothing. Prayer was His lifeline. He sought God's guidance about every aspect of His life and allowed the Lord to work out His perfect will without interference. Christ never became defensive, discouraged, or depressed because His goal was to please the Father rather than to achieve His own agenda. In the midst of trials, He was patient. In the midst of suffering, He was hopeful. In the midst of blessing, He was humble. Even in the midst of ridicule, abuse, and hostility He "made no threats . . . and did not retaliate. Instead He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly" (I Peter 2:23)

Are you recognised as a Christian in your school,at home or at work?

To some of us, have you ever noticed that you behave different in front of your friends and in front of your parents. Honestly, I think i do. Call it the 'take-them-for-granted' attitude, simply because we lived with them for XXX years, we tend to well, treat them differently - rudely - in fact. and when you're agitated or provoked, whoever/whatever that comes in your way, you will prob blow your top. Especially with youths today, search your heart and ask yourself, Are you behaving differently in Church and at home? Jesus is such a perfect person, so perfect and well-tempered that i cannot help but really live in awe of Him. If He could even tahan the many insults/ridicules thrown on Him yet not retaliate, why can't I do so? Why cant I love the people around me,those who irritates me or even those who insults me? The bible said 'Love your neighbour as yourself', and also 'If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic.' Can we all seek for a Christ-Like attitude?

-Gen
