You see my glory, but you don't know my story.

At times we see famous people like Billy Graham, missionaries who gave up everything to serve the Lord, even Pastor Khong, and we think that they have it all. They have their lives perfectly pieced together, and they seem so close to God, like they have some sort of natural special power that we don’t have. But most times, the people that serve the lord on such a big-scale are often those who have went through all kinds of hell before in their lives.

God often brings us hardship and obstacles to strengthen us and prepare us to be ready to go out into the intimidating world to serve Him. So you may think these servants of the Lord automatically grow up doing wonderful things for Him, but you don’t know their past and what they went through in order for God to shape them to be just how He wanted them to be.

Also, we often feel like these servants of the Lord have a sort of special phone line to God. Like whatever they ask of Him, it will be granted. But keep in mind that we are ALL servants of the Lord, and we are all equally children of God.

Whatever prayers you send to the Lord, no matter how big or small, He hears them and answers them just as He would answer..say.. Ps. Khong’s prayers. So don’t feel like you’re too insignificant for your prayers to be answered. God delights in our prayers, and He loves hearing us speak to Him. I believe He does answer all our prayers, just that He answers them in His own way and in His own time, which might be different from what we expect sometimes.

Pray without ceasing.

*Benita :)
