When You're Under Pressure!

What are the most common terms that we use to describe modern activities? hush, hurry?

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10. Just reading those words makes me pause and reflect. What would happen if I stopped a bit longer? Would it change my way of thinking? Today, we use the web instead of going to the library; communicate by email instead of writing letters; use our cell phones to keep connected with people. Despite all our many time saving conveniences, life seems to just get more and more hectic. We need to learn to be still!

What does "be still" means to you? Relax, let go? YES, it's tough to let go as i've already kept everything in my life in order. Not only must we "let go", but also "know that I am God."I need to know that God is big enough to meet any needs or requirements that I may have and that He truly loves me.

For me, being still is one of the hardest challenges in my life. God longs for a deep, intimate fellowship with Him. He wants to speak deeply to our hearts. If only we'll be still and give Him the chance.

love,
eunice.
