We know that everything in life, happens for the better. But how many of us actually truly believe in that?

I used to wonder in times of hardship, God says He loves us. Then why does He let us be hurt .I couldn’t see how that time of pain would turn out for the better. But one day, during my cell meeting, nearing the year-end of 2006, we were told to go to a quiet corner, sit, and reflect about our life during that past year and flip through the Bible to find a verse that we felt God speaking to us most.

While flipping through it, a phrase caught my eye and it spoke to me deeply. John 16-1:”All these things I have told you so that you will not go astray” From then, I knew that whatever God puts us through, it will indeed turn out for the better, there is always a reason for everything, and that we can always turn to Him for help.

We only see a bit of our lives but God sees the whole picture. He knows what He is putting us through. Our job is to only trust in Him.
I also used to feel that what I asked in prayers, fell on deaf ears. But then again, a verse in the bible spoke deeply to me. Mark 11:22-24 says, ‘Have faith in God,’ Jesus answered. I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you shall receive it, and it will be yours.

Thus I feel that we must have faith in God. We shall receive only if we truly believe with all our heart that our heavenly Father will answer our prayers. He is our father and He loves us.
