Blindness??

A short story by the Spanish writer Carman Corde tells of a young woman who gives birth to a blind son.

"I do not want my child to know that he is blind!"
She informs family and neighbours, forbidding anyone to us telltale words such as "light", "colour" and "sight". The boy grows up unaware of his disability until one day a strange girl jumps over the fence of the garden and spolis everything by using all the forbidden words. His world shatters in the face of this unimagined new reality.

In modern times, Christian resemble the strange girl who brings a message from outside. To a sceptical audience they bring rumours of another world beyond the fence, of an afterlife beyond death, of a loving God who is somehow working out his will in the chaotic history of this planet. As in Corde's story the news may not be welcome.

-adapted from "Rumours from another world" by Phillips Yancey

This is how I interpreted the whole paragraph:
1. "..I do not want my child to know that he is blind!"
I assume "She" is Satan, who would, obviously, keep "my child", which is us/non-believers, from the light of the Lord. Satan would use all means to keep us/non-believers from knowing God more, either by distracting us through BGR, worldly temptations etc. Non-believers are even more exposed to such plots of the evil ones, and thus blinded, living in a world of theirs.

2. ".. strange girl jumps over the fence of the garden and spolis everything by using all the forbidden words."
Like what the passage said, as steward of Christ, we are to spread the gospel and to bring light to non-believers!

3. "..the news may not be welcome."
Are we able to stand firm in our faith and spread the gospel even if we face rejections and disappointments? Or will you give up and keep quiet?

Let's even be the warriors of light, living our life to glorify God and breaking away from our comfort zone to even serve God at a greater capacity. Pray more and even surrender every fear or anxiety to the Lord before even asking any non-believers to cell or service. Let us garner strength from God and live in Holy fear.

love,kriss.
