BREAKOUT!

I have been reflecting the past few days on the theme for the year 2007- breakout… on what it really means to me. The breakout spirit is about “trying something new, doing something different, getting out of our comfort zones so that we can experience all of His fullness in our lives. “ read this from last sunday’s bulletin.. and it spoke deeply. Today’s short message by Jason Wong, deputy director of the prison’s ministry, has confirmed this definition, where he mentioned being a fool for Christ and had witnessed small revivals in the prison ministry for the past few years.

Personally, the year 2006 has been a year of struggles for me.. But it ended in celebration which i thank God for. Many atimes I struggled with moving out of my comfort zone, being who i really am(the passionate christian) in front of my non-christian friends, spreading his message to my friends and loved ones… I guess these are some of the common struggles that some of us may face. But I would like to extend an encouragement, that in this year of victory, we need to breakout and be the best we can be for Jesus in every way! For e.g, be courageous in spreading the gospel to your friends, doing an act of love towards your parents. Only when we breakout(go deep, look far, ask big) and move out of our comfort zones then can we take our families, friends, schools, workplaces and ministries for Jesus!

Bless you with the breakout spirit!

In His love and mine,
Joce
