Tis the Season to Love

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

God's standard of love is unconditional. Something so noble and chaste yet has been tainted by the corrupt world of today.

In this season to be jolly, let us share God's love with our loved ones. Regardless of how neglected we feel; regardless of how much we dislike them because of their weird habits; regardless of how unloved we may feel. We love because God first love us, and as God says, love your neighbour as yourself, this is because to Him, you are as valuable as the person sitting next to you. If you are to condemn the person sitting next to you, you are condemning yourself, because your actions are a reflection of how much you see yourself, of how much you value yourself.

Remember, a person is not devalued because one is a sinner. You are of the same value as the person of your lowest estimate, because we receive our value from the same person- Jesus.

So, in this season of love, in this season to be jolly, let us spread some love- unconditional love. May we bring our friends to Christmas events- Magic of Love, Christmas Caroling, New Year Bash, etc, be out of love rather than obligations, because: 'If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing' (1 Cor 13:3).

Let all our actions be out of love, just as how God sent His only son as a symbol of how much He love us, not out of duty, not by force, but purely love.
