Letting Go

i have in my hands 2 boxes, which the Lord gave me to hold.
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black, and all your joys in the gold. "
i heeded His words, and in the 2 boxes.. both my joys and sorrows i store.
but though the gold became heavier each day, the black one was as light as before.

with curiousity, i opened the black box. i wanted to find out why it was so light.
and i saw, in the base of the box, a hole which my sorrows had fallen out by.

i showed the Lord and mused aloud, "i wonder where my sorrows could be?"

He smiled a gengle smile at me, "My child, they're all here with me."
i asked, "God, why gimme the boxes? Why the gold, and the black with a hole?"

"My child, the gold box is for you to count your blessings. the black one is for you to LET GO!"

guess u guys shud know the story liao, right? haha..
but i decided to share it still... cos i felt that sometimes we also choose to accumulate the things that were actually meant for the Black box.

are you holdin onto smth that seems to be "attached" to you? ... maybe ur studies? maybe ur family?
rmb what faith means?

Forsaking

Forgive us for relyin on our strength and the world. allow us to draw closer to you and reach out to you despite gd or bad situations. teach us how to trust. teach us to have a child-like faith and a heart that seeks a simple life, that will simply Love and Serve You !! ultimately, teach us to let go.. amen
