GOD IS WITH US .. NO REGRETS

just wanna tell u guys a story which is inside "Footprints for Teenagers" (gosh, i love this book). was actually busy doin PW then suddenly decided to rest and read this book, apparently God spoke to me, haha. amazing!!

anyway, here goes ...

Let's imagine that you are invited to play in a best-ball Golf Tournament. That means that if you're paired with someone like Tiger Woods, you will probably win, even if you've never golfed a day in your life!

You tee off for the first shot and shank it about 10feet off to the right. Woods nails it down the fairway and puts it about 10feet from the green. Guess what? You get to hit his placement.

You drive it over the green into the creek. Woods plops it up on the green, 3feet away from a birdie. Guess what? You get to play that shot.

You bounce it past the green, and it rolls into the rough grass on the edge. Woods taps it in.

Guess what? You get a birdie!

You could go through all 18 holes, slapping balls off trees, knocking others into the water, losing still others in the woods. Yet instead of writing down a big 125 on the scorecard, you get to write down a mind-blowing 68. You get credit for Woods' goodness.

In life, we try to be good, but we keep hitting life's tee shots the wrong way. We chip into trouble. We drive into rough spots. Yet if we have placed our faith in Jesus, the one true Saviour, none of it is held against us.

The scorecard says, "Forgiven".

And what's even better is that Jesus doesn't have to keep teeing up for us. He made one sacrifice that corrects our record for all time. "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more," the Lord says in Hebrews 10:17.

It would be great to play a little best-ball with Tiger Woods, but it's nothing compared to the once-for-all act of Jesus, which makes our record sinless and perfect in God's eyes. No regret!

actually hor, i dont really understd golf or even like it. but i believe the scorecard is rather simple to understd eh? haha.. take a moment to thank God again for His ultimate Sacrifice. rmb what Pastor Eugene said? Easter Sunday doesnt only fall on that day, not only last wk, but this Day of Victory is meant for us to proclaim it everyday. Proclaim and believe in it!
