He Moved the Stone

Luke 24:1-12 recorded for us the happenings on the morning that Jesus rose from the dead. Believe you guys who were there on Easter Sunday Service heard from Pastor Khong's msg abt the great big stone that sealed the cave where Jesus laid. The stone was moved and with that, we are assured of a new life, a new beginning, a new hope.

During the sermon, the Lord spoke to me saying something like "the stone is very huge". At that moment, I wondered why did the Lord say something lidat. I asked the Lord if the stone represent blockages, stopages for us? If so, what is the modern equivelant of 'stones' in our lives. The stones which we rolled over to seal our deaths in.

If the Lord can roll over that stone that 'locks' Jesus in, in the same way, He can roll away the obstacles in our lives. That is not to say that there wld be no more obstacles in our lives, or that our lives wld b carefree like a bed of roses, laalaa smooth kind. But it is the assurance of knowing the biggest stone has been rolled over, is there anything else that He cannot move? Is there anything that we dun have the power to move? NO! We have the POWER to move mountains, to touch heavens and change the earth!

Following on Darren's devo, sometimes we try not to bother God with our 'small things' and only seek Him when we face big boulders. Lets be guarded against these 'small things' that may take our eyes away from God. These 'small particles' fly into our eyes and cause us to tear, tears that formed due to hurts, pains, sins, fears etc. Affected by these tears, we cant see clearly anymore and we lost focus on the FACT that the biggest stone that in our lives has been moved.

Is there a stone in your life that you think you cannot move? A sin which you cannot breakthru? A habit that you cannot quit? A person whom you cannot let go? Someone whom you cannot forgive? Is there any sand-like particles in your life now? If the tears flow, pray that the tears wld remove the sand in our eyes, that we may focus our eyes on the Lord who has 'moved the big rock'.

*Sing with me, how great is our God*
