"Remaining Faithful to the Call" quote from D.L.A

There was once a preacher who spoke with great passion.
He spoke of the mysteries of a Holy Ghost who would give words of knowledge, renewed strength to those who would answer the call to love the poor. He preached on the message that the Lord had a very special heart for the poor. Those who heard were moved and it soon became a movement to help the people around the world.

Many answered the call to do their little to bless the poor among them. From those who serve the poor in their back yard with soup and others with love from the temprorary shelter homes.
Some were prompted to sailed to the continent of Africa, some to the streets of India, and still others to the poor winterlands of the once great Russia.

Many did wonderful work where they were. But year after one, one by one they would return home and soon almost all of those who were inspired by this great message returned after 1 year or 3 years or even 7 years. The once strong message to help the poor tuned cold again and the church started to close its door on the poor.

Yet in the stillness and silence, there was but one young lady who continued her journey of faith and remained silently and very much humbly, unknown faithful to the call she received. She plowed, 5 years, then 10 years, then 20 years, then 30 years. Such was the passion of this one lady that she inspired a following of hundreds who once were among those she touch and ministered to. Who once were the poor.

When this lady died, the world spoke greatly of her and many remembered her name. She was named one of the most influential lady of the 21st Century. Yet her crown in her last moments were not the honours paid to her, or accolades accorded. But her crown was the smiles on the faces of those she helped, loved and share the winter cold with. Her last words i believe was, "its going to be cold soon, remember the blankets and warm soup. Remember our lost ones."

How often do we bring to the end the same dreams we believe, i pray that as you read this. You will remember the call you we were once called to. That love is spelled, F-A-I-T-H-F-U-L!
