I am losing out in all the action, bcos i got NO time to blog.
Anyway, im still v v bz at work, but am blogging now to give glory to God.

Those of you who reads my personal blog wld know that my parents have started toking to each other. You might be surprised and ask, whats so worth to give thanks abt when your parents spoke to each other?

Just a brief intro of my parents and family. I have a younger sis who is a mother of 3 and a bro who is currently in NS. Some 10yrs ago my parents fell out with each other and altho they continue staying under the same roof, they no longer spoke to each other.

I sometimes loathe CNY bcos i hated going to my relatives place for visitation and having to answer their questions, where is your mom, why didnt she come visitation with you etc etc. My bro no longer goes visitation with us, so every yr its just me and my dad.

Anyway, ard the end of last yr 2005, i was once again convicted by the Lord to pray for my family's salvation. My bro came to know the Lord in aug05 and that ignited my hope to see my family saved again! So slowly, i started to be more patient to listen to my mom, to spend more time with dad etc. I started believing that my household wld be saved! Tho i dont know how God is gonna do tat.

I also dont know who 'gave in' first, but i noticed a change in my mom and dad. My dad wld buy supper for me and when he calls me at home, he wld ask if mom is home and if she wants food. When my mom buys supper too (soyabean curd), she wld keep a portion for dad. Sometimes when dad is already alseep, she wld wake him up. Altho her tone is still as bad, "eh, wake up ah, u wan beancurd anot?" kind.

Prior to CNY, mom began to pack the house a little. Just FYI, we dun expect guests during cny, so we dun pack exhaustively for CNY. This yr, Dad and Bro helped out a little. I also started packing my clothes and my notes from Uni etc.

One day, Dad fell sick and cldnt go to work. Mom is currently taking care of my sis 3 kids while she goes out to work. So mom returned home in the afternn and knew that dad was unwell. She bought food for him and they started acknowledging each other. By toking, i dun mean they are COMMUNICATING amicably. They are still not communicating, but they are no longer treating each other as "eating glass".

I dont know how long this kinda 'peaceful' condition will last at home. I also do not know if i have the faith to see more and pray more for such changes. But i do know that i WANT to believe and i WANT to see my family saved. Im sharing this, to help me remember God's grace in my life and in my family. Im thankful for this family still.

I remember Pastor's sermon on CNY 1st day, abt honouring our parents. I want to honour my parents and the best way, is to show God to them. Its easy to get disappointed with your family, ur loved ones. Its easy to forget to pray for your family, a unit that you have so taken for granted. Its easy to doubt what God is doing in your life. May I b a good testimony. Honour your parents, pray for them.
