“ And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
-Jeremiah 29:13

i was on my way home from sch when i saw this group of small little kids playing in the playground. they were play the childhood favorite - Hide and Seek. and i couldn help it but to think back to the times when i was young and i played that game. it is such a simple yet fun game.. jus purely running ard to catch people.. One thing I remembered vividly is the way it felt when I was the so called "IT". I can sum it up in one word: Lonely. I used to dread having to look for people, but I loved the feeling I got when I found the first person. It meant that I was no longer the "IT". The person whom I had found now had my burden and became “IT” on the next round. at this very point of time, i had this very sudden thinking... the bible records the ultimate game of Hide and Seek.. People who do not know the Lord are basically lonely, lost, caught up in worldly values and find no purpose in life.. and they are just seeking for achivement, fame and many more. But never can they catch up with any of these cos its not easy to keep/maintain it.. and they jus end up in a cycle of seeking more and more.. with no end in mind...at this point of time, i cried out to God to touch their hearts... to speak to them.. and one main grp of people particularly is the Primers... God, let this game of hide and seek stop.. let them come back to the Father, let them know you.. stop them from this vicious cycle.. is that your hearts cry for the people that do not know the Lord? Lets press on in prayer and not give up and allow ourselves to be used as that vessel for God!!

in the Chirstian context, little do we realise that we are also playing this game with God! We are desperate for an encounter with God. Just like in the game, if we search for God diligently we will find Him. Except unlike the game, God is not hiding from us. How great it that!?!? :) to those who have been far away from God, come back to Him and stop this game.. the Father is waiting for you! When we find Him he then takes our sin burden and carries it away, In response we repent and turn away from our sins. God gives us every capability to find Him. One way to start is through His Word. It is a reassuring feeling to know that I will never be “IT” again in my relationship to God.

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.”
Isaiah 55:6-7

Father, i pray that we will all stop being this "IT", but instead in all our days, Father, teach us to seek you, teach us to be disciplined to follow you and be a God chaser, not a dream chaser, or any other chaser, but a God chaser. Thank You Lord for making yourself approachable and giving me the chance to find you. I want to search for you all my life, may I never give up. Amen.
