It has been quiet for so long... buck up guys! Press on to our target of 7000! ;)

Numbers 14:20-24
'The Lord replied,"I have forgiven them, as you asked. Nervertheless, as surely as i live and as surely as the glory of the Lord fills the whole earth, not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times- NOT ONE OF THEM will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.'

Even as I reflected on this I am reminded that God HATES sin! That even thou abounding in love God forgave the people of Israel, but because of their grumblings, something not very seriously wrong, they lost their right to go into the promise land that God had promised their forefathers. Dun be mistaken: God loves us all and as long as we confess with our mouths and asks for forgiveness God will forgive. But because He is a just and holy God, He hates sin.

A thought just comes to mind: How often have we allowed things around us to 'coerce' us into sin? Being angered resulting in us lashing out, lossing ourselves in the pleasures of the world, complaining at how unfair this world is and forgetting to thank God for the little things that He had blessed us with.

1 Thessalonians 3:8
'for now we really live, if you stand firm in the Lord'

Caleb served God wholeheartedly and had a different spirit from the rest of the people. He saw thru his spirit and was faithful to the end. He did not let the people around him sway his faith in God. And as such he was allowed into the promise land. The reoccuring message: ATTITUDE OF OUR HEARTS. Do not let our surroundings determine how we should behave, how we should act and do not grumble. Instead give thanks ALWAYS, hang on to our godly values, make your stand for God and He will allevate u from your plight.

Lord i pray that You teach us to have the spirit of Caleb. A spirit of faithfulness tat holds on to You even when our physical eyes do not see and we do not understand the things tats happening around us. Grant us the steadfastness to serve u wholeheartedly. Deliver us from our sins. Show yourself real in our lives and draw us closer to You. Amen.
