Devotion #16
kays. this is my second one.. haha. somehow, its really WOW! the verses that i read today has been shared alr! one by xiong ge and the other by joce. but.. i will still share! :P
Psalms 1:1-3
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of the sinners or sit in the seat of the mockers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law, he medidates day and night. He is like a tress planted by streams of water, which yields its fuits in season and whose leaf odes not wither. whatever he does prospers."
i shant go into what each and verse means here.. cos i think brother bear has done a very very good part on it.. however, i shall share what spoke to me thru this verse. i shared this verse during one of the DE meetings way back.. and today, i shared it with candy quek.. yupp. i believe all of us get hungry easily and it is also a need for us to eat to give our body energy. ok.. u all might be thinking why am i talking about being hungry here.. if you are asking that.. then think again.. your physical body needs food.. how about your spirit man? many christians talks about loosing faith.. but least did they realise our faith "needs energy" too.. not thru food of course (ahaha) but by reading the bible daily and praying and many more... shall not list out all.. in any case, these are the food to our spirit man. it will grow stronger and stronger when we "feed" them each day. anyway, reading the bible also does not mean.. flip and read flip and read.. i know many of us is guilty of them.. cos i was once guilty of it too.. verse 2 says MEDIDATE.. so more then jus reading the bible.. its important to meditate on the word of God and apply it to our daily lives..
next time when we look into the mirror, check out what is changing about you physically.. beyond that, look into the spritual mirror and let it reflect your spirit man. has it change?
